Lekkere hapjes en gerechten, mooi gepresenteerd.
Het restaurant mist een beetje "warmte"
het zaalpersoneel doet wat aan "overacting" bij het voorstellen van de gerechten en de wijnen.

Perfect gegeten, en vooral GENOEG.
Sublieme keuken !!!
Klein misverstandje bij de betaling van de rekening, maar voor de rest alles perfect.

Voor ons was Schattemen een ontdekking , zoveel is zeker !! We genoten van begin tot einde . Ieder hapje, ieder bordje , ieder glaasje wijn .....gewoon super . Deze piepjonge mensen hebben nog heel wat potentieel . Wij zien in de verte reeds een ster fonkelen . Wij komen in ieder geval terug, en vertellen het aan onze culi-vrienden !!

Originele gerechtjes, zij het vaak in wel héél kleine porties (ook het hoofdgerecht), zelfs naar de normen van luxerestaurants. De smaken waren in orde, maar de temperatuur van de bereidingen was niet altijd van hetzelfde niveau. Het lijkt me twijfelachtig of dat steeds de bedoeling was.

Het was behoorlijk lang wachten op sommige gangen (zeker het aperitief, maar ook het hoofdgerecht). Later aangekomen klanten werden dan nog eerst bediend ook. Alles bij mekaar zo'n 3,5 uur voor een driegangenmenu (weliswaar met hapjes): was toch wat aan de lange kant. Al was de service vriendelijk, werd de wijn vlot bijgeschonken en bedierf dit niet echt de sfeer.

Goed, maar zeker niet uitzonderlijk voor een prijs die toch wat aan de hoge kant lag voor het aanbod (134 euro voor twee, basismenu, 1x aangepaste wijnen, aperitief + 1x koffie), zeker in de Restaurant Week. Ook merkwaardig: de alcoholvrije aperitief werd aangeboden mét fruitsap (om te mengen), waarna zowel de Crodino (8 euro) als het fruitsap (3 euro) werden aangerekend. Zo lag de prijs zelfs hoger dan die van het (alcoholische) huisaperitief...

1. Do I need to pay upfront?

No, for most restaurants you don't have to pay upfront when you make a reservation.
Some restaurants only accept reservations with a small down payment, this is clearly indicated when making a reservation.

If you have paid a deposit, you can cancel up to 24 hours before your reservation. Your deposit will then be automatically refunded to your account.
